What exactly are massages?

Massage therapy is one of the oldest and simplest methods of treatment.
Its name comes from the Arabic word "MASSA", which means touch. Touch is the essence and basis of massage. Touch means a connection, a relationship with what is outside of us. For humans, touch is essential because it provides security, warmth, pleasure, comfort and restores vitality. The roots of the western type of massage are found in anatomy and physiology. In the human body, nothing functions separately and independently, but everything is closely interconnected. There are a number of positive effects that affect the overall state of health. During massage, the receptors on the skin and subcutaneous tissue are stimulated, as an effect of mechanical action, and also through indirect action, i.e. reflex pathways, it affects the awakening of the entire organism. This means that massage has a great effect on our health and mood:

  • improves and accelerates blood flow and lymph flow,
  • improves skin elasticity and regeneration,
  • relaxes muscles,
  • slows down and deepens breathing,
  • stimulates digestion,
  • speeds up metabolism,
  • promotes the elimination of harmful substances from the body,
  • reduces pain and tension,
  • affects internal organs.

Massage cannot cure all diseases, but it can certainly improve the general condition of the body, alleviate ailments and speed up the recovery process.

Every person needs relaxation and an escape from everyday life. Headaches, cramps, insomnia, tension, stress, all these ailments can be alleviated - with a massage! The story of massage begins with touch. Attention and sensitivity, a little time and energy, a good pair of hands, that's all that is needed for a massage.
